DASK Will Now Cover All Disasters

The coverage of compulsory earthquake insurance is expanding. DASK, which covers only earthquake damages, will also cover natural disasters such as floods, forest fires.

It was decided to extend the DASK insurance, which covers only earthquake damages, to cover all hazards. In the new system, the name of DASK or Compulsory Earthquake Insurance will be changed to "Disaster Insurance".

Compulsory earthquake insurance has been increased to 700 TL for a house of 100 square meters. The new disaster policy will be determined by new tariff rates October with additional guarantees. Since the seismic risk in Istanbul is different from Konya, it will be regulated accordingly and thus reflected in the guarantees. Compulsory disaster insurance will be included in the system at the end of April.
